For years I have been painting in a very realistic manner.  In my new style I smudge and erase the painting. By doing so I feel that the portrait is more complete. I erase all the details and leave the onlooker to discover the person through the canvas.  I want to remove the appereances and leave a more enigmatic look, e reflection of the sitter’s real look.
